A must see
My sister recently sent a link to me to a video about strokes. Our mother had a massive stroke when she was 58, lost her speech and mobility. My brother, two sisters and I all shared in taking care of her in one way or another. She survived 12 years.
When we were in the hospital with her, the doctor told us that for all intents and purposes, our mother was gone. If she survives the stroke, she will be a different person. How right he was!
Our mother was now a very happy person, very child like, a true sense of innocence about her. She was a joy to know, and quite an example of strength.
Jill Bolte Taylor is a brain scientist who suffered a stroke, and in the video she vividly describes what happened to her brain during the stroke. She also gives an excellent description of the brain, left side, right side, and how it functions.
I urge you to watch this video, and share it with everyone you know.
I now understand what happened to my mother. But best of all I now understand the left and right side of the brain, and totally agree with the benefits and necessity of living in the now
After watching the video, if you are as inspired as I was by the possibilities, I suggest you read Eckhart Tolle’s book A New Earth. His book will help learn how to use the right side of your brain, the way Jill describes in the video. Wow, the possibilities, let’s all jump forward and move to the right side!
Peace!

If you are a lover of photography, have I got a recommendation for you!
I belong to a photography sharing website called Caedes. Everyday I am blown away with the talent and beautiful wallpapers that the members post.
It is a warm, caring community, where members help others by commenting and critiquing each others work. Not all is photography, some of the work is done by computer imagery, drawings, and other methods.
I need to warn you though, you may need a couple of hours to browse through the images, because you will get caught up in the variety and beauty offered at Caedes.
If you do not have a couple of hours, I have posted a few recommend galleries on my list of links under Caedes Artists. I will be adding more artists as time goes on, galleries that I think you will really enjoy visiting.
Take a moment out of your day to enjoy a little beauty offered to you at Caedes. I would recommend joining, registration is free, you do not need to be an artist to join. The reason I suggest joining is you will then have an account set up, you will be able to leave comments for the artists, but best of all you will be able to create your own favorites file, and when you come across an image you absolutely love, you can save it to this file, instead of downloading to your computer.
Happy hunting!
