Living on the Road

My husband and I traveled around in our RV with our dog Jake, exploring the northwest United States. What a wonderful lifestyle! My favorite campsites were parked in nature. What a glorious feeling to look out your window and see forests and beautiful mother earth. I will be writing many posts about our experience on the road.

We visited Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, the magnificent Tetons, the Oregon Coast, and so many places in between. We saw many beautiful sights.

Awed by the beauty, I was taking photos to share with friends and family back home. I would create PDF files with the photos, and tell a little story about how our trip was going.

One day my daughter asked if I could send one of the image files to her, a friend wanted to use it for her desktop background. I was very happy to send her the file, and that is how I discovered how easy it is to customize your desktop background.

I started playing with my photos on my own desktop background. I was having so much fun with the results, it gave me an idea. I created my first photo website. I could share my photos with others who might enjoy using them for their own backgrounds.

We lost Jake to cancer in March of 2006. My husband passed away on August 17, 2007, so I am now traveling alone.

Frank and Jake

I feel so fortunate to have been able to spend the time I did with my husband. We had 15 years together, only two on the road. Wish we had started earlier!

Currently I am living in Chiang Mai, Thailand. sharing a house with my son Sean. He has lived here for 3 years, and is in love with the country. My plan is to make Thailand my home base, and to get out in the world and explore this beautiful planet of ours! My first adventure was to Laos. You can read about that in my post, or view the photos in the Laos Democratic Peoples Republic album.

Photography is my passion. When I hold my camera I see the world with a different perspective. I am amazed with all the beauty around me, and want to capture as much of it as I can to share with you.

My husband could never understand why I give my photos away. To appease him, I added Google ads to my site as a way of supplementing our income. Sometimes I get disturbed by the advertisement, and remove it. But the little income that the ads generate do help, especially now, so they will stay. I hope they are not obtrusive, and that you may actually find them useful.

This new site is a collection of my photos, and where I will be uploading all of my new images. Instead of creating PDF files as I have in the past, I will be writing posts, sharing a bit about the photo collection, our experiences traveling on the road, and new adventures. I hope to bring you along with me on my journey.
