Flower Wallpapers Revisited

3

I have been sharing my photos to use as wallpapers for many years now, but I have felt something was missing with my photos. It has always seemed to me that a wallpaper needs to be a little more than just a photo.

This weekend, I discovered a couple of new toys that I have been playing around with, and man, have I had a ball! I was inspired by photos I had seen on Caedes, a website I visit on a daily basis, and so I finally asked how they were doing it. My friends at Caedes gladly gave me the website address where I could download a free program that they were using. (I will give that to you a little later)

The program is a free plug-in for use with Adobe Photoshop. Well, I have Adobe Photoshop, but I have never used it for anything other than adjusting my images, cropping, basic routine editing. I downloaded the program, and played around with it.

There are no instructions on how to use it, and I was getting nowhere with my attempts to figure it out. I searched online hoping to find directions somewhere, with no luck. (Which is why I will also be adding a page to my site with tips on how to use the program if you are interested)

With my son’s help, we finally figured it out. And with a lot of coaching from him on how to use layers in Photoshop, I came up with these new designs for wallpapers.

I’ve had so much fun playing around with my photos, here are a few more that I created with layers in Photoshop.

I think this one is my favorite, just because my desktop is so so cluttered, it makes it easier to find the files. Every now and then I clean up my desktop, mostly I have image files all over the place.

The program I used is called Foto Frame, and is a free plugin for Photoshop. Here is the link to it:

As I said, no instructions come with it, so I am going to work on writing up what I have discovered, tips on how to use it, and will create a page for that very soon.

In the meantime, I have uploaded all of my new “creations”  to my flower wallpaper page, there are a few more than I have shown here if you would like to see more.

Slowly I have been getting a few comments here and there on my website, which really makes me happy, I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to stop and make a comment.  I would love feedback and comments on this new style wallpapers. Hope you enjoy them!

Hi Carol! I love what you’ve done with photo frame on your flower shots. Very nice! I’ve used it, but in a limited way so I’ll look forward to your tips and directions. Hilda
