Good News, Bad News

2

Well, lets start with the bad news. My camera is no longer functioning.

As it turns out, when I left America I accidentally swapped cameras with my sister. She had recently bought a used camera just like mine.

If you have read previous posts, I don’t do well without a camera. Last time my camera broke I spent a big chunk of change on refurbishing my camera. And that camera is sitting in Los Angeles.

Well, my sister, sweetheart that she is, has offered to send it to me. She never uses it. Her husband bought her a small compact digital camera that she prefers to use, so she is sending me my old camera. I am sooooo happy and thankful!

The other bad news I had, after spending 3 weeks building a new site dedicated to butterflies, I find out after launching it that the host I was using (Web.com) had a block on their site which prevents Google and other search engines from entering my site to index it. That is like building a store with no door for customers to come through.

What really burned was that I had run a Google ad for my site to test it out, and after 3 hours I had racked up $107.00 in charges. I had set a $50 limit for a day, but they ignored that and now I am stuck with a new bill. Bummer. The good news was, it did bring Google to my site to index it, the bad news was that they came to my site, but were not let in.

The good news is I decided just to move the Butterflies to this site, and have set up a new section for them. It only took about 12 hours to do. I still need to keep checking it, to see if I missed anything, if something needs fixing. If you notice anything I would sure appreciate you letting me know! The whole reason I have this site is to offer my photos, and if there is a problem for you as a visitor somewhere I haven’t found yet, I can’t fix it.

So, that’s my good news and bad news for the day. Hope your day is going good!

    Hi Carol!
Great web site! I hope you get your server/Google problems sorted out… what a drag. And you don’t need this for sure.Seems so unfair.
Anyway, I trust you are OK, and all’s well etc.!

    Regards,

    Malc

Hi Malc! Thanks for the compliment! I am in Bali, my camera is working great, my hosting is sorted out, but now my son tells me on skype my computer may be infected, and my batteries are about to die. LOL! Life goes on.
