Everyone needs passion, something in this world that drives you with excitement. Digital photography is my passion, it offers so many wonderful ways to edit images. I really enjoy playing with my photos, especially my butterflies!

Since becoming fascinated with the butterflies dancing outside my window each day, I realize how little I really know about them, so I set out to find answers to a few questions, like, “Where do they go at night, do they sleep?” Where did they the name “butterfly” come from? I have always looked upon butterflies as beautiful, harmless creatures that I was fortunate to run into once in awhile. Since having so many butterflies entertaining me all day with their comings and goings at the tree outside my room, I am enjoying them immensely. Which made me think why haven’t I had more butterflies in my life?

I was photo surfing and saw an article link about creating a Butterfly Garden. Now that seemed like a wonderful idea to me, knowing first hand how much pleasure they can bring into your life. I found the article to be a bit shallow, not really much information. I still liked the idea though, and started searching for something more, and I was really happy when I came across the one I have posted for you here How To Grow a Butterfly Garden. It is very thorough and informative.

Butterfly Sanctuary

Have you ever visited a Butterfly farm? I had the opportunity to do that once at Iowa State University, Reiman Gardens, and it was actually quite a thrill. It was surreal walking amongst the many butterflies, the mood made even more mystical with the misty environment, a sense of awe and wonder hanging in a hushed air. If you have the opportunity to go, I urge you to experience it.
