Yosemite National Park, USA

Yosemite was one of the last trips that my husband and I took together in our RV.  Summer was almost over, so the waterfalls were pretty dry, and fall was not quite here yet.

We were parked at a campsite outside of Yosemite, and would make the drive into the park to explore in our usual way. We packed a lunch, and a few snacks, and made a day of it. He had been to Yosemite before, so he had an idea of where to go to take in the beauty Yosemite has to offer.

We did not see much wildlife at Yosemite, although we did have one encounter with a bear. He was sitting in a tree picking apples and dropping them to the ground. The tree was very close to a path that many people were walking on, but the bear did not seem fazed by the people at all. He came down from the tree and sat down and started eating the fruits of his labor. About then a game warden showed up, and they tranquilized him to move him to a spot away from the public. We left the area, and I have always wondered and hoped that they had gathered his fruit for him and left it near where they moved him to.

Other than that, our time was spent gazing at the beautiful sights Yosemite has to offer. We ended up cutting our trip a little short, and returned to our home base in Reno.
