One of my favorite parts of traveling through the National Parks was having the opportunity to watch Black Bears. I have always had an affinity to bears. Seeing them up close and personal in the wild was pure joy!

Last summer a pair of doves built a nest on our RV. We enjoyed watching three sets of baby doves hatch, grow, and mature. The mama and papa doves were fantastic parents!

We ran into many ducks on our journey. Sometimes they would come visit us at our campsites. One site we stayed at in Northern California we were parked right next to the duck pond, and the ducks would waddle back and forth under our RV from the pond to the grassy area.

The very first elk I took a photo of was in Montana. Not sure if it was truly an elk, I showed the photo to a local elderly gentleman and asked him if it was an elk. He looked at me and said “You're not from around these parts, are you?”
I knew right then that it was indeed an elk!

Growing up I always associated Sea Gulls with the ocean. Imagine my surprise to find them living in the desert. The images here are mostly from the ocean, but a couple of the overhead shots are in the desert.
