Dinner at Na’s

We were invited over to my son’s friend Na’s house for dinner the other evening. Na’s family owns a bulb farm. Before dinner we toured the property to see how the bulbs are grown.

Three generations live and work together on the farm. That is very typical of Thailand from what I understand.  They live in harmony, which is really nice to see. I can’t imagine it back in the United States, at least in the cities where I grew up.

His mother presented us with such a lovely dinner; it is always a treat to be invited to their home.

After dinner there was a discussion of their bulb business, and how they are looking for more buyers. Currently they have 2 large clients, one from Holland, and another from America. Sean’s Dad Jim is heading back to America soon, more specifically to Ashland, Oregon. It was decided that he would take back samples and information to a few businesses that are located in the Oregon area that may be interested in purchasing some of their bulbs.

Such beautiful flowers a true reflection of the family that lives and works together to grow them.

After an incredible dinner, and a relaxing evening visiting with Na’s family, we headed home, with bouquets of the flowers they grow.
