Jill Bolte Taylor Video
My sister recently sent a link to me to a video about strokes. Our mother had a massive stroke when she was 58, lost her speech and mobility. My brother, two sisters and I all shared in taking care of her in one way or another. She survived 12 years.
When we were in the hospital with her, the doctor told us that for all intents and purposes, our mother was gone. If she survives the stroke, she will be a different person. How right he was!
Our mother was now a very happy person, very child like, a true sense of innocence about her. She was a joy to know, and quite an example of strength.
Jill Bolte Taylor is a brain scientist who suffered a stroke, and in the video she vividly describes what happened to her brain during the stroke. She also gives an excellent description of the brain, left side, right side, and how it functions.
I urge you to watch this video, and share it with everyone you know.

I now understand what happened to my mother. But best of all I now understand the left and right side of the brain, and totally agree with the benefits and necessity of living in the now!
